Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) held the "Jumeok Daesin Jumeokbap" campaign to prevent school violence and promote rice consumption at the main gate of Yecheon Girls' Middle School on the 14th, in collaboration with Gyeongbuk Nonghyup (Director Choi Jinsoo).
This campaign was designed to replace the traditional White Day culture by sharing a warm meal, conveying the values of consideration and sharing instead of violence, and promoting the consumption of domestically produced rice.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education is conducting the "Rice Balls Instead of Fists" campaign at the main gate of Yecheon Girls' Middle School.
During the event, students arriving at school were provided with rice cakes and beverages, and promotional materials containing messages about school violence prevention were distributed. Gyeongbuk Office of Education expects that this will help students naturally recognize the importance of preventing school violence and form positive relationships with their peers.
Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to continue implementing various activities to prevent school violence. In particular, it will expand programs to promote the consumption of local agricultural products in cooperation with Gyeongbuk Nonghyup, and also pursue rural experience activities in which students and parents can participate together.
Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, said, "I hope this campaign will help students create a culture of consideration and respect instead of violence," and added, "We will continue to work with the local community to ensure that students can enjoy a safe and happy school life."
Meanwhile, Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to expand the "Jumeok Daesin Jumeokbap" campaign to schools throughout the province starting with this event.
