On the 14th, Korea Investment & Securities stated that TXR Robotics, a logistics and robot automation solution specialist, is expected to experience mid- to long-term growth in the logistics sector as it counts the largest domestic e-commerce company among its clients. TXR Robotics, a subsidiary of the Eugene Group specializing in robotics and logistics automation, is preparing for its initial public offering (IPO) on the KOSDAQ market scheduled for the 20th.
On the same day, Yoon Cheol-hwan, a researcher at Korea Investment & Securities, said, "Based on references and know-how in the logistics sector, the company is expanding its front-end market to the robot automation solution field."
Founded in 2017, TXR Robotics specializes in logistics and robot automation solutions. Its largest shareholder is Eugene Logistics, a 100% subsidiary of Eugene Corporation, holding a 40.10% stake post-listing. The main business area is logistics automation. Instead of manual sorting of cargo, the company supplies products that sort items quickly and accurately through automated systems. Key products include wheel sorters, flap sorters, and tilt tray sorters.
Researcher Yoon introduced, "The company internalizes both hardware and software technologies to provide comprehensive logistics automation solutions, including design, consulting, equipment manufacturing, program development, and maintenance. Major clients include Coupang, CJ Logistics, Lotte Global Logistics, and Logen Courier."
He also explained, "In the robotics sector, the company designs and manufactures automated guided vehicles (AGV), autonomous mobile robots (AMR), and related solutions that carry heavy objects that are difficult for humans to transport. They also possess various automation solutions linked to smart factories, such as welding, packaging, assembly, and inspection."
Currently, the main client in the robotics sector is EcoPro HN, and the company is focusing on multiple proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and new product development to diversify its revenue sources. Recently, it has expanded its products into the service robot field, including firefighting (extinguishing, smoke extraction) and cleaning robots. Researcher Yoon stated, "The cleaning robot is scheduled to be launched domestically starting in March this year, and the firefighting robot is currently preparing for license acquisition and patent applications, with a planned release in May."
Last year, sales reached 57.2 billion KRW, and operating profit was 5.2 billion KRW, representing increases of 72.3% and 46.3%, respectively, compared to the previous year. This year's guidance (company's own performance forecast) projects sales of 77.5 billion KRW and operating profit of 8 billion KRW.
Researcher Yoon commented, "This year's guidance is somewhat aggressive," but added, "Since the company has the largest domestic e-commerce company as a client, mid- to long-term growth in the logistics sector is expected. The progress of commercialization in the robotics sector will be a key factor in performance. Careful updates on quarterly new product launches in firefighting and cleaning are necessary."
