Large-Scale Spring Cleaning Across Mapo-gu, Including Red Road, on March 18 at 7 a.m. with Over 1,750 Participants
Intensive Management of Vulnerable Cleaning Areas During the ‘Spring Cleaning Special Period’ Throughout March
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, is cleaning with residents during the Mapo District Spring Cleaning event in March last year.
Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) will conduct a spring cleaning campaign on March 18 at 7 a.m. across the entire Mapo area, involving over 1,750 personnel.
On this day, about 250 people from the public and private sectors, including Mayor Park Gang-su, staff, residents, students, and businesses, will collect trash and perform water cleaning around roads and public facilities on Red Road.
Additionally, dust suction water cleaning vehicles will be used to effectively remove fine dust from the roads.
At the same time, more than 1,500 cleaning participants in all neighborhoods of Mapo-gu will engage in the ‘Spring Alleyway Cleaning’ in areas with habitual illegal dumping, shopping districts, and places with high foot traffic.
Mapo-gu has designated March as the ‘Spring Cleaning Special Period’ to intensively manage vulnerable cleaning areas in response to the worsening fine dust and yellow dust inflow during spring.
Along with this, they plan to clean accumulated grime on public facilities such as outdoor exercise equipment, which have been used less frequently during winter, and conduct safety inspections.
For more details about the ‘Spring Cleaning,’ inquiries can be made to the Clean Mapo Division of Mapo-gu or the resident centers of each neighborhood.
Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu said, “With the hope that all Mapo residents welcome a refreshing spring, we will carefully maintain every corner of the region,” and added, “We ask for the active participation of residents in the ‘Spring Cleaning’ and will continue to strive to cultivate a clean and tidy Mapo.”
