Sharing the Current State of Private Education at the Meeting on the 14th
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-ho will hold a video conference on the morning of the 14th at the Government Seoul Office with superintendents from 17 cities and provinces nationwide to conduct a meeting regarding measures to reduce private education expenses.
In this meeting, based on the recently announced '2024 Survey Results on Private Education Expenses for Elementary, Middle, and High Schools,' the current state of private education will be shared, and policy responses will be explored.
Minister Lee is known to plan to request cooperation from the education offices to promote customized measures to reduce private education expenses considering the characteristics and conditions of each region.
Minister Lee is expected to say, "Despite various efforts by the Ministry of Education and education offices, the survey results on private education expenses did not meet the public's expectations," and "The Ministry of Education will continue to establish and expand educational reform tasks to solve the private education issue."
