Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) conducted a special safety inspection on major urban railway facilities, including the Yongsan Vehicle Depot and Line 2 construction sites, together with external experts on the 13th to mark the thawing season.

On this day, President Cho Ikmun, structural engineering expert Professor Park Jingum from Songwon University, and each technical department jointly inspected the management status of railway bridges and tracks within the facilities, the condition of retaining walls and embankments, the presence of cracks and subsidence in buildings, and the state of soft ground on steep slopes, thoroughly carrying out accident prevention activities.

President Cho Ikmun stated, "During the thawing season, the repeated freezing and thawing of the ground weakens the soil, making it prone to subsidence or cracking, which increases the risk of accidents," and added, "We will create a safe and convenient urban railway environment through proactive inspection and management."
