Namyangju City, Standard Childcare Curriculum Training to Enhance Childcare Teachers' Competencies

The Public Sector Division of the Namyangju City Daycare Center Association (Division Head Lee Jin) announced on the 13th that on the 12th, they conducted standard childcare curriculum training for 300 childcare teachers at Dasan Hall in Namyangju City Hall.

On that day, Seo Won-kyung, director of the Seongnam Childcare Comprehensive Support Center, who was invited as the instructor, delivered the latest revisions to the standard childcare curriculum and provided professional education to help an integrated understanding of infant development.


After completing the training, participants highly evaluated the effectiveness of the education, noting that they acquired various knowledge that can be practically applied on site.


One childcare teacher said, “Through this training, I was able to review the basic principles of childcare and realized once again how important the teacher’s role is in helping children’s emotional stability and development,” adding, “I will actively implement what I learned in the field to provide higher quality childcare services.”


Mayor Joo Kwang-deok of Namyangju City, who attended the training, said in his greeting, “I deeply thank the childcare teachers who contributed to winning the Prime Minister’s Award with the Jeong Yak-yong Childcare Curriculum,” and encouraged, “As Jeong Yak-yong said, ‘Raising one child is like creating a whole world,’ you are accomplishing a great task.”


Recently, the city has been continuously expanding support policies for childcare staff by conducting specialized education for children with disabilities and operating the non-face-to-face psychological counseling center ‘Saemmul’ to relieve job stress.
