Continuing his communication efforts with various organizations, Kim Byung-su, Mayor of Gimpo City, held a roundtable meeting with the executives of the Korean Red Cross Gimpo City Council on the 12th.

According to Gimpo City on the 13th, during this roundtable meeting, Mayor Kim Byung-su and the executives mainly discussed the difficulties faced on the ground and areas where they need to join forces for the development of the local community.


At the meeting, Mayor Kim Byung-su listened attentively to the executives' stories and expressed encouragement for the council's activities, while the executives pledged to continue more active cooperation with the local government for the development of the community.


The Korean Red Cross Gimpo City Council (Chairperson Lee Eun-hae) is an organization composed of about 650 members. It carries out disaster relief activities and emergency support in the event of disasters, supports vulnerable groups and welfare facilities, assists families in crisis, and conducts various events targeting North Korean defectors and multicultural families.


The Chairperson of the Korean Red Cross Gimpo City Council said, “City support is necessary to revitalize the activities and boost the morale of the council and volunteers,” adding, “We will actively work together with the city for the development of Gimpo.”


Mayor Kim Byung-su of Gimpo City said, “I appreciate the Korean Red Cross Gimpo City Council for their active work for Gimpo City, and the city will also actively support activities for the citizens,” adding, “Let us work together to make Gimpo a place where everyone wants to live and a better city to live in.”


Meanwhile, starting with the 2025 New Year's greeting event, Mayor Kim Byung-su is continuing roundtable meetings with the Administrative Alumni Association, parent organizations, volunteer groups, and others to listen to the voices of citizens from all walks of life. He emphasized, “Communication is the first step to trusted administration,” and firmly expressed his determination to “reflect citizens' voices in policies and implement citizen-centered administration,” accelerating his communication efforts.
