On this day, Commissioner Lee visited the Bukhang Police Station, which has the highest demand for security within the Mokpo jurisdiction, encouraged the staff for their hard work, and thoroughly inspected coastal rescue boats and rescue equipment. He requested, "Since field departments carry out the most important missions in the Coast Guard, please ensure that the equipment is kept in optimal condition so that you can move to the scene as quickly as possible in the event of an accident at sea."


Commissioner Lee Myungjun emphasized, "Considering that Bukhang Police Station oversees 1,545 single-operator fishing boats, the highest number in the country, its importance in responding to maritime accidents is extremely high. Please do your utmost to prevent maritime accidents through proactive and field-oriented preventive activities."
