The ‘Transfer Student Living Stability Scholarship’ is a program that provides scholarships to students enrolled in universities within the city who have transferred to Pocheon City after having their resident registration in another city or county for more than one year. After completing the transfer registration, students receive 100,000 KRW after 6 months and 200,000 KRW after 1 year, totaling 300,000 KRW in scholarships.

This activity was organized to support busy university students in easily completing transfer registration and scholarship applications on-site without visiting the administrative welfare center.

On the day, employees from Seondan-dong and Soheul-eup Administrative Welfare Centers directly accepted transfer registrations on-site, while civil affairs staff operated the living stability scholarship application desk, providing information about the benefits and accepting scholarship applications.

A Pocheon City official stated, “We support the Transfer Student Living Stability Scholarship to encourage university students to transfer and help them settle stably,” adding, “We will continue to actively promote to boost population inflow.”

Meanwhile, as part of its population inflow policy, Pocheon City also provides a ‘Veteran Settlement Incentive’ to veterans who have had their resident registration in another city or county for more than one year and then transferred to Pocheon City, in addition to the Transfer Student Living Stability Scholarship.
