Emphasizing Joint Response in the Era of the AI Revolution

Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, emphasized cooperation for the development of future agriculture in the era of the AI revolution at the '2025 Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Gwangju Nonghyup On-site Management' event held at Hotel Hyundai by Lahan Mokpo in Yeongam on the 13th, together with the President of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation (Nonghyup) and heads of Nonghyup branches in the Honam region.

More than 300 people attended the Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Gwangju Nonghyup On-site Management event, including Governor Kim, Kang Hodong, President of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, executives from the federation, Yeo Younghyun, CEO of Nonghyup Mutual Finance, Park Seohong, CEO of Nonghyup Economic Holdings, regional headquarters executives, and 216 heads of local Nonghyup branches in the Honam region (135 from Jeonnam, 68 from Jeonbuk, and 13 from Gwangju).

At the event, Governor Kim stated, "Nonghyup has long played a significant role in the development of Korean agriculture and rural communities as a friendly neighbor to farmers, presenting visions required by the times during difficult periods," and urged, "I ask for your continued interest and support for the development of agriculture and rural communities in the future."

He continued, "Agriculture and rural areas are becoming increasingly difficult due to rural aging, youth population outflow, high inflation and interest rates, and soaring production costs caused by climate change," and added, "Let us actively cooperate to respond to the rapidly changing agricultural environment and achieve a revolution in small-scale agriculture together in the era of the AI revolution."
