Changwon Masan Branch of Gyeongnam Association of the Deaf Marks 30th Anniversary, Discusses Welfare Development Plans

Sign Language Performance and Awards for Distinguished Contributors Held at the Commemorative Ceremony

Changwon City, Gyeongnam Special City, announced on the 13th that the 30th anniversary ceremony of the Changwon Masan Branch of the Gyeongnam Association of the Deaf and the inauguration ceremony of the 12th branch president were held at Wedding Euro Praha Hall.

The event, hosted by the Changwon Masan Branch of the Gyeongnam Association of the Deaf, included a sign language performance, a progress report, presentation of appointment letters, and awards for distinguished contributors to disability welfare.

Established in 1995, the Changwon Masan Branch of the Gyeongnam Association of the Deaf has contributed to the advancement of welfare for people with disabilities through various activities for the deaf, such as operating the Masan Sign Language Interpretation Center and the Love Sign Language Class.

During the ceremony, participants reflected on the past 30 years and discussed future development plans in a meaningful gathering.

Branch President Park Youngil stated, "On the occasion of our 30th anniversary, I will do my best to ensure our organization continues to grow and develop as a group for people with disabilities."

Deputy Mayor Cho Myeongrae said, "I would like to thank everyone who has worked for the promotion of the rights and welfare of the deaf over the past 30 years. I promise to do my utmost to further enhance the rights and welfare of people with disabilities in our community."
