This project aims to improve air quality and reduce heating costs for vulnerable groups by expanding the supply of eco-friendly boilers, which are highly effective in reducing air pollutants and improving energy efficiency.

The eligible recipients are: ▲Basic Livelihood Security recipients ▲Second-lowest income group ▲Recipients of disability (child) allowances ▲Single-parent families ▲Households with two or more children with an income at or below 100% of the median income ▲Social welfare facilities. Starting this year, the support has been expanded to include residents living in areas without city gas supply.

Buk-gu will select 360 households on a first-come, first-served basis and provide partial support for the installation cost of eco-friendly boilers. Households that have previously received subsidies or installed boilers before 2025 are excluded from the program.

The eligible boilers are condensing gas boilers of 70kW or less, installed or replaced this year, and must be certified with an environmental label in accordance with the Environmental Technology Industry Act.

Applications can be submitted by referring to the notices on the Buk-gu Office website and sending the subsidy request form and required documents by registered mail, or by applying online through the Eco Square website. For more details, contact the Climate and Environment Division of Buk-gu Office.

District Mayor Moon In said, "We will continue to do our best to ensure that residents can live comfortably through policies that consider both vulnerable groups and the environment."
