Hampyeong County Launches Customized Dental Care 'Toothbrush Change Day'

Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 13th that it successfully held the "Toothbrush Change Day" event, which aims to inform local residents about the importance of oral health and encourage proper oral care practices.

This event took place on the 10th at the Oral Health Office of Hampyeong-gun Public Health Center. The county provided oral health check-ups and consultations to residents who brought in their old toothbrushes, offered guidance on proper brushing techniques, and exchanged the old toothbrushes for new ones.

In addition, the event included cavity prevention through fluoride application and customized dental care education. Fluoride mouth rinse and dental floss were also provided, along with education on oral disease prevention and proper oral care methods.

Shim Hwasub, director of the public health center, said, "Toothbrush management is an important factor that can affect not only oral health but also mental health," and recommended, "For hygienic use of toothbrushes, it is advisable to replace them every three months."
