Recruitment for the '2025 Small Business Capacity Building' Project Begins
Customized consulting support for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs
Various programs including startup, management stabilization, and legal support
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 13th that it is recruiting small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs to participate in the ‘2025 Small Business Capacity Building (Consulting)’ project.
The Small Business Capacity Building project is designed to provide tailored solutions with professional personnel to address various difficulties encountered by small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs during the startup and business operation processes. This year’s project includes four types: ▲Startup Consulting ▲Management Stabilization Consulting ▲Entrepreneurial Development Consulting ▲Free Legal Support, aiming to support a total of about 5,000 people.
The newly established ‘Startup Consulting’ program this year is a consulting program that comprehensively provides the necessary information at the preparation stage to help prospective entrepreneurs successfully start their businesses.
‘Management Stabilization Consulting’ is a program where experts in various fields visit the business sites of small business owners facing management, marketing, legal, and other issues, diagnose the problems, and suggest effective solutions, providing up to four consulting sessions.
‘Entrepreneurial Development Consulting’ selects small business owners with high growth potential to support the realization of ideas and business advancement. It offers up to two consulting sessions along with vouchers worth up to 3 million KRW for management improvements such as marketing.
‘Free Legal Support’ is a project that supports litigation costs for civil cases arising during the business activities of small business owners through the Korea Legal Aid Corporation. This year, the eligibility has been expanded to include small business owners with a median income of 150% or less or an annual sales amount of 300 million KRW or less in the past year.
Lee Dae-geon, Director of Small Business Policy, said, "We have meticulously prepared a consulting support system to assist the entire process from startup to growth," adding, "We hope that small business owners and prospective entrepreneurs will overcome management difficulties and find new opportunities for growth through this project."
