Showdown with Siheung Citizen FC
at Changwon Football Center on the 15th
Gyeongnam Changwon FC will hold its 2025 K3 League home opening match at the Changwon Football Center at 2 p.m. on the 15th.
After securing an exhilarating 2-0 victory against FC Mokpo in the opening match on the 2nd, Changwon FC is preparing with determination to present their fans with a spectacular win in their first home game of the 2025 season.
This opening match is especially exciting as it features a showdown between Changwon FC, who finished 4th in the 2024 K3 League, and the 2024 champions, Siheung Citizen FC. With Changwon FC expected to show even greater strength this season, fans' anticipation for their performance is higher than ever.
Head coach Lee Youngjin stated before the opening match, "Our goal this season is not just to play good games, but to grow and develop together with our fans. Our team will do our best to achieve that goal until the very end."
He added, "Since the home opener is an important match that marks the start of the season, I hope many fans and citizens will come to the stadium and give us their passionate support."
In addition to the football match, the opening game will welcome fans with a variety of special events. Admission is 5,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for teenagers, while elementary school students and younger, as well as seniors, can enter for free.
Before the home opener, starting at 1:30 p.m., there will be special performances by the Changwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team and cheerleaders, followed by a range of programs including player encouragement and a ceremonial kickoff. The first 1,000 fans and citizens to arrive at the stadium will receive cheering tools, and before the match begins, 50 autographed balls will be kicked into the stands by special guests and players.
Additionally, over 80 prizes?including a four-door refrigerator, a 65-inch (QLED) TV, a robot vacuum, and an iPad (with taxes and fees to be paid by the winners)?will be given away through a raffle during halftime and after the match.
