Honam University and Gwangju Women's Family Foundation Sign MOU for Gender Equality Promotion

Honam University (President Park Sangcheol) announced on the 13th that it has signed a business agreement with the Gwangju Women's Family Foundation (CEO Kim Kyungrae) to promote the Gwangju RISE project and realize a gender-equal community in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions.

The signing ceremony, held on the 12th at the Faculty Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the main building of Honam University, was attended by Park Sangcheol, President of Honam University; Jeong Jaepyeong, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation; Han Seon, Director of Public Relations; Oh Samgwang, Director of the Human Rights Center; Jang Eunyoung, Head of the Department of Counseling Psychology; Bae Eunkyung, Head of the Department of Social Welfare; and from the Gwangju Women's Family Foundation, Kim Kyungrae, CEO; Jin Eunju, Director of Office Operations; Lee Miyeong, Deputy Director of Project Operations; and Lee Seul, Manager of Management Planning.

With this agreement, the two institutions have agreed to actively cooperate on the following: ▲ Joint implementation of the local community GROW UP project ▲ Collaboration in operating the Neulbom Think Tank and sharing the instructor pool database ▲ Advancement and joint development of the Neulbom program ▲ Collaboration and support for education and research related to fostering gender equality professionals in the region ▲ Mutual cooperation to enhance gender equality awareness and gender sensitivity within the university ▲ Collaboration in developing and utilizing Gwangju women's cultural content ▲ Other matters necessary for RISE linkage and mutual development.

Kim Kyungrae, CEO of the Gwangju Women's Family Foundation, said, "I hope this agreement will serve as an opportunity to spread a culture of gender equality within the university and foster gender sensitivity, contributing to the realization of gender equality."

Park Sangcheol, President of Honam University, said, "We will actively support the operation of the foundation's programs at our university to foster gender equality and gender sensitivity."
