Club72 Suddenly Cancels Season Ticket Sales... Weekend Golfers Protest Club72 sold season tickets but suddenly canceled them.

On the afternoon of the 10th, Club72 announced the cancellation of the season pass event on its website and sent cancellation text messages to purchasers. Club72 explained on the 12th, "When we recruited in January this year, we aimed for 2,025 participants, but the number of participants fell short, and the recruitment ended. There were suspected cases of reservations being preempted through macros. Since fair reservations were not made, we decided to cancel the event."

The season pass was sold at a non-member price of 490,000 KRW for fifteen days from January 21 to February 5. The usage period is two months from the 4th of this month to June 5. By purchasing the season pass, users can enjoy free rounds on two courses at Club72 golf course during nighttime hours after 6 p.m. within the usage period. Discounts are also available on weekends.

In this event, 1,845 people purchased season passes. However, nearly 1,200 customers never managed to make a round reservation even once. Numerous complaints were filed with the Korea Consumer Agency, and customer dissatisfaction and refund demands continued, leading Club72 to decide to cancel the season passes due to the inability to operate normally.

Customers who purchased season passes pointed out, "It is unreasonable to say there were no participants now when the notice at the time of sale stated that it was a first-come, first-served closing." Some are reportedly considering legal action.

Club72 apologized, saying, "We sincerely apologize for causing great disappointment to our customers due to the cancellation of this event," and added, "We will do our best to minimize inconvenience through prompt refund processing." Club72 decided to refund the full amount of the season pass without penalty regardless of usage for rounds already played (March 4?10). For reservations from March 11?12, green fees will be 50,000 KRW, and for reservations from March 13?31, rounds can be played at the prices posted on the website. If customers do not wish to use these options, they can cancel their reservations without penalty.
