Naver Plus Store App Launches Today... Enjoy Smart Shopping with AI

Naver launched the Naver Plus Store application (app) based on its proprietary generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology on the 12th.

This app analyzes vast product data based on HyperCLOVA X and combines it with information such as user preferences, past purchase history, context, and intent. It prioritizes recommending products that are likely to interest individual users and offers useful benefits to help with purchase decisions.

From the seller's perspective, it enables a so-called 'regular customer tech' marketing strategy by targeting users with a relatively high likelihood of purchase rather than an unspecified majority.

By using the newly introduced 'AI Shopping Guide' feature within the app, AI recommends the optimal products based on usability analysis. This feature is initially applied to electronic product categories such as laptops, mobile phones, refrigerators, and air conditioners, with plans to expand its scope later.

For example, when searching for 'laptop,' the AI Shopping Guide recommends the best laptops such as those 'good for design work,' 'highly portable,' 'optimized for high-spec gaming,' 'suitable for office use,' and 'ideal for university students.'

Another new service, 'Discovery,' is a personalized short-form content recommendation service available in the Discovery tab at the bottom of the store app. It introduces popular products through short-form videos of about 30 seconds, allowing users to explore trending products and purchase them immediately.

Starting from the 12th, the delivery service is also upgraded from 'Naver Arrival Guarantee' to 'Naver Delivery (N Delivery).'

Delivery options are segmented as follows: same-day delivery guaranteeing arrival for orders placed between 0:00 and 11:00 AM, next-day delivery for orders placed between 11:00 AM and midnight (closing times vary between 6:00 PM and midnight depending on the seller), Sunday delivery guaranteeing arrival for orders placed between 11:00 AM and midnight on Saturday, and scheduled delivery where buyers can specify their preferred delivery date.

Any Naver Plus membership member can enjoy free shipping on purchases over 10,000 KRW, with free returns and exchanges provided as standard. A 24-hour customer center for membership members will also begin operation. To celebrate the app launch, Naver is offering a 10% discount coupon (up to 5,000 KRW) for first-time buyers who purchase over 20,000 KRW.
