Kim Sang-wook, a member of the People Power Party, said, "If by any chance the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol is dismissed, I will enter a hunger strike in the National Assembly until I die."

On the 12th, Kim stated this on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' saying, "That is the level of my resolute determination."
Kim said, "I thought about whether I, as a legal professional, could write a dismissal ruling, but no matter how hard I try, I cannot," adding, "I cannot write a dismissal, and only a decision to accept the impeachment can come out. If the justices have normal legal literacy, they will naturally have to unanimously accept the impeachment with an 8 to 0 vote," raising his voice.
He pointed out, "If martial law is not justified, impeachment is inevitable," and added, "To justify martial law, the procedures must be correct, there must be reasons, the content must be appropriate, and the purpose must be valid, but none of these pass right now."
Kim said, "I believe our role is to trust the Constitutional Court justices and support them so that they can reach a just decision based on conscience and principles," emphasizing, "Also, in this process, if there are illegal assemblies or, in some cases, acts of terrorism beyond the law, our society must strongly and strictly enforce the rule of law."
Kim also stated, "Our society must strongly condemn unconstitutional claims or such cases," but pointed out, "However, the way of condemnation should not be violent. After December 3rd, our society has been accepting language and behavioral violence that was previously unacceptable as if it were natural."
Furthermore, Kim said, "Especially for politicians, I think it is necessary to soothe and reassure the anxious and confused people and provide them with peace of mind," adding, "It may be time to calm down a bit and gather wisdom to reconcile conflicts."
