Governor Kim Taeheum Orders Prompt Implementation of Heating Cost Reduction in Naepo New Town

Chungnam Governor Kim Taeheum held a meeting with representatives of the Naepo New Town Apartment Association.

Chungnam Governor Kim Taeheum has announced that he will ensure the district heating fees in Naepo New City are reduced as soon as possible.

On the afternoon of the 11th, Governor Kim met with Choi Myunggyu, President of the Naepo New City Apartment Association, and other resident representatives at the provincial government office. He received a petition and a statement from residents supporting the reduction of heating fees in the Naepo area, and gathered opinions on improving the living conditions in Naepo New City.

Regarding the district heating fees raised in the petition, Governor Kim stated, "We will make sure the heating fees are reduced at the earliest possible date," and instructed the relevant departments to take prompt action.

Governor Kim also expressed his intention to establish a system that would reflect local residents' opinions in the event of future increases in heating fees.

During the meeting, representatives of the Naepo New City Apartment Association also requested the early opening of the Chungnam Sports Center, improvements to the apartment access road system, enhancements to living conditions in Naepo New City, and plans to attract hospitals, all of which are of high interest to residents.

In response, Governor Kim said, "I will closely review the progress of the sports center and do my best to open it as soon as possible," and added, "For the apartment access roads, we will consult with the police and other relevant agencies to come up with improvement measures."

Governor Kim introduced ongoing projects aimed at improving living conditions in Naepo New City, such as the creation of the premium Hongye Park, Chungnam Traffic Broadcasting, Chungnam Art Museum, and the Arts Center, and asked for residents' active interest and cooperation in these cultural, sports, and leisure infrastructure projects.

Governor Kim stated, "To expand educational infrastructure, we are promoting the establishment of the KAIST Gifted School Naepo Campus, and to enhance industrial infrastructure, we are developing the Naepo Agricultural Life Convergence Industry Cluster, which will house future high-tech national industrial complexes and companies like Celltrion."

Regarding the hospital in Naepo New City, he explained that the province plans to directly invest in building a comprehensive medical facility and entrust its operation to a renowned domestic hospital, in order to expand medical infrastructure and complete the Chungnam Innovation City.

Governor Kim emphasized, "By 2030, the population of Naepo New City is expected to exceed 100,000," adding, "We will develop it into a top-tier city where administration, culture, sports, education, and industry are harmoniously integrated."
