Sujeong Industrial Complex Youth Culture Center to Feature Sports Facilities with Total Project Cost of 6.3 Billion KRW

On the 12th, Seosan City in Chungnam held a meeting with the Sujeong Industrial Complex Resident Companies Council at the conference room of the Sujeong Industrial Complex Operation Council.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Lee Wan-seop of Seosan, representatives and executives from 14 resident companies in the Sujeong Industrial Complex, and about 20 others, to share major business support policies and listen to the difficulties faced by the resident companies.
Through the meeting, the city listened to the challenges faced by companies and shared policies to address issues such as labor shortages.
Key policies introduced included: ▲Construction of a Youth Culture Center to improve residential conditions ▲Production of promotional booklets for small and medium-sized enterprises ▲Support for SME promotion through broadcasting company YouTube channels, among others.
The Sujeong Industrial Complex Youth Culture Center will be built with a total project cost of 6.3 billion KRW on the site of the Sujeong Industrial Complex management office, featuring one basement floor and four above-ground floors, and will be equipped with cultural and sports facilities as well as dormitories.

Last year, the city was selected for a contest project organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, securing 4 billion KRW in national funding, and plans to complete the center by 2028.
During the meeting, the Sujeong Industrial Complex Operation Council presented a plaque of appreciation to Mayor Lee Wan-seop of Seosan for his contributions to the development of the industrial complex and the local economy, including the construction of the Youth Culture Center.
Mayor Lee Wan-seop stated, "The development of the Sujeong Industrial Complex, which plays a pivotal role in the local economy, leads to the revitalization of the region's economy," and added, "We will do our best to create a business-friendly environment by providing various support measures to address labor shortages and company difficulties."
Meanwhile, the Sujeong Industrial Complex, completed in 1996 on a site of 173,367 square meters at 1163 Sujeong-dong, is currently home to 18 companies employing 531 people, and recorded sales of 517.3 billion KRW last year.
