Yeongyang County, North Gyeongsang Province, held the inauguration ceremony for the 5th Yeongyang County Youth Participation Organization for 2025 on the 3rd floor auditorium of the Yeongyang County Youth Training Center on the 11th.
This year, the youth participation organization was recruited through an open call for local middle and high school students, and after document and interview screenings held from January to February, a final group of 23 members was selected.
The main activities of this participation organization will include monitoring the operation of the Yeongyang County Youth Training Center and suggesting operational improvements, as well as actively voicing opinions in the establishment and implementation of youth policies in Yeongyang County, thereby contributing to the enhancement of youth rights and the creation of a healthy youth culture.
Kwon (17, female), who attended the inauguration ceremony, shared her thoughts, saying, "Receiving the letter of appointment made me feel like I am representing the youth, and I hope this activity will give me the opportunity to see a broader world."
County Governor Oh Dochang stated, "We plan to actively support the youth so that they can demonstrate their capabilities and talents through proactive participation and diverse experiences, as they are the future leaders of Yeongyang."
