Yangsan City, Gyeongnam held the 'Yangsan Welfare Hub Town Operation Council Interim Report Meeting' on the 11th at Seminar Room 1 of the Yangsan Business Center. The meeting aimed to share the current progress and construction status of the Welfare Hub Town and to seek efficient operational plans based on the matters discussed and agreements made prior to the council's formation.
During this meeting, the official name 'Yangsan Welfare Hub Town' was confirmed. The session also provided an opportunity to review the roles of this large-scale complex facility, share the projects carried out by cooperating organizations, and discuss future development directions.
The Yangsan Welfare Hub Town is a large-scale integrated welfare facility with a site area of 8,624 square meters and a total floor area of 17,833 square meters, consisting of one basement floor and five above-ground floors. It will house the Yangsan Welfare Foundation, Yangsan Disabled Welfare Center, Yangsan Senior Welfare Center Annex, Yangsan Family Center, Women's Welfare Center, Joint Childcare Sharing Center, and Village Health Center. The opening is scheduled for March next year.
Mayor Na Dongyeon stated, "The Welfare Hub Town will be an important turning point in advancing Yangsan's welfare system, so thorough preparation and cooperation and communication among all institutions are crucial." He added, "Please make your best efforts to build content that effectively links all welfare infrastructure and service systems in Yangsan, so that the Welfare Hub Town can truly function as a hub for welfare."
The Welfare Hub Town Operation Council is composed of relevant departments, welfare institutions scheduled to move in, and the Yangsan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center. The council will share and discuss all matters related to the move-in, and after the opening, it will transition into an operation council with the goal of ensuring smooth linkage and integration of internal and external welfare services.
