The inauguration ceremony proceeded in the order of awarding certificates to the Living Empathy Policy Participation Group, explaining the main activities of the 9th group and the activity plans for the 10th group, and selecting the officers of the participation group.

The "Living Empathy Policy Participation Group" refers to personnel selected by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety who discover and propose small but valuable living empathy policy ideas that the public can relate to, monitor national policies and city/provincial administrations, and provide feedback.

The "10th Living Empathy Policy Participation Group of Yangju City" was composed of 10 members who were finally confirmed by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety after receiving applications through the Ministry’s 'Sotong24' website from January 3 to 15, passing the first screening by Yangju City and the second screening by Gyeonggi Province. Their term is two years.

They are expected to contribute to realizing "Yangju Soaring Together with Citizens" through various activities such as discovering policy ideas to resolve inconveniences in daily life, participating in policy fieldwork, and engaging in sharing and volunteer activities.

In particular, since 7 out of the 10 members of this participation group are students currently enrolled in local universities, it is anticipated that more fresh and dynamic policy proposals will be made.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, "For policies closely related to citizens' lives to bring about practical changes, the voices from the field are most important," and added, "I ask the participation group to serve as a bridge by proposing creative and effective ideas so that citizens can participate more actively in city administration."
