Uijeongbu City Tennis Team's Jung Youngseok Wins Men's Doubles Title
at the ITF Maanshan International Tour in China

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 12th that Jung Young-seok, a player of the workplace sports tennis team, won the men's doubles title at the 'ITF Maanshan International Tour Tournament' held in Maanshan, China.

On the 1st, Jung Young-seok teamed up with Japan's Yuta Kawahashi to compete in the doubles match. The two players showed perfect chemistry against the pair of Mikaela Aliak (Belarus) and Lee Ju-il (Taiwan), winning decisively with a score of 2-0 (6-2, 6-1).


Despite playing together for the first time, Jung Young-seok and Yuta Kawahashi overwhelmed their opponents with powerful serves and precise net play, demonstrating perfect teamwork. The two players maintained unwavering concentration throughout the match, dominating the court without dropping a single set.


Jung Young-seok said, “I am happy to achieve good results in an international tournament with Yuta Kawahashi, whom I teamed up with for the first time,” and added, “I am grateful to Coach Kim Hyun-seung and Uijeongbu City for always helping me focus solely on training in a joyful and comfortable atmosphere.”


Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I give a big round of applause to Jung Young-seok, who won the men's doubles at the Maanshan International Tour,” and added, “We will continue to support and cheer for the tennis team so that they can perform well in many tournaments in the future.”
