Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 12th that an anonymous donor has donated 150 million won to help neighbors in need.
The anonymous donor residing in Cheorwon-gun said, "I donated to Pocheon, my mother's hometown. Please use it to help neighbors in need," and donated part of the inherited amount.
Pocheon City plans to deposit the donated funds into the Pocheon City Neighbor Helping Fund 'Hope Pantry' and use them for various welfare projects such as living expenses, medical expenses, and housing costs for vulnerable neighbors in welfare blind spots.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, "We deeply thank the donor who practiced love for neighbors. We are glad to take a step closer to making Pocheon a better place to live," and added, "We will honor the conveyed intention and use it carefully for neighbors in need."
