Legacy Club of Love Fruit: Donors Who Bequeath Their Estates
Pledged to Donate Real Estate and Securities Worth Approximately 500 Million KRW After Death
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam announced that an anonymous philanthropist couple residing in the area has become the first in Gyeongnam to join the “Legacy Club,” a bequest donation program organized by the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea.
The “Legacy Club” is a bequest donation program launched in 2013, serving as a gathering for Love Fruit bequest donors who pledge to donate all or part of their assets after death, or who donate all or part of the deceased’s estate.
For this bequest, the donors have pledged to donate approximately 500 million KRW worth of real estate and securities after their passing, according to their wishes.
Additionally, they expressed their intention to donate their remains to the Department of Surgery at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital for medical research after death. On the 10th, they completed the process of appointing a notary lawyer and finalizing the legal notarization. Following this, the Community Chest of Korea will execute the will for the entire estate according to the donor’s wishes.
Mayor Na Dongyeon said, “The most beautiful act of giving in the world has taken place for the first time in Yangsan, Gyeongnam,” and added, “The donor’s noble act of sharing will serve as a catalyst for spreading a culture of good giving throughout the local community.”
