"Let's Go on a Job Experience Trip
Taking the Donghae Line from Busan to Gangwon"
Global children's job experience theme park KidZania (CEO Kang Jae-hyung) announced on the 12th that it will launch the new "Grand Hotel" in collaboration with High1 Resort (Acting CEO Choi Cheol-gyu) in Gangwon Province.
The "Grand Hotel" experience center, which opened on the 5th floor of KidZania Busan, has been designed as a special space where children dreaming of becoming future hoteliers can experience the core of the hotel service industry.
At the "Grand Hotel," children can experience a variety of real hotel jobs. They can directly perform key hotel operations such as customer service, restaurant serving, and room condition housekeeping, learning the mindset of service. Through this, children can deepen their understanding of the service industry and develop a sense of responsibility and teamwork.
The reason High1 Resort in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, opened the "Grand Hotel" experience center first at KidZania Busan is closely related to the recent opening and successful operation of the Donghae Line. Since the opening of the Donghae Line, the number of tourists traveling between Busan and Gangwon by ITX-Ma-eum has reached 180,000 in a month, with tickets selling out every day, even leading to "reservation open runs." Jeongseon, where High1 Resort is located, has also become much more accessible from Busan by taking the Donghae Line and getting off at Donghae Station.
A KidZania Busan representative said, "The new 'Grand Hotel' experience center will not only provide children with a vivid opportunity to experience the job of a hotelier, but also help foster future talent in the service industry," adding, "We plan to develop various programs to nurture children's creativity and social skills."
The "Grand Hotel" is located on the 5th floor of KidZania Busan, and more details can be found on the official KidZania website or mobile app.
KidZania, the global children's job experience theme park, is an edutainment theme park brand experienced by over 100 million people worldwide. It began in Mexico in 1999 and now operates in 32 cities across 23 countries. In Korea, "KidZania Seoul" opened in February 2010, and "KidZania Busan" opened in April 2016, both currently in operation.
KidZania realistically recreates a real city at two-thirds scale for children, where they can experience about 90 different jobs. Children wear actual uniforms for each job and vividly experience careers such as police officer, flight attendant, firefighter, chef, and more, which they choose themselves. Through this, they learn leadership, teamwork, and gain social experience.
