Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 12th that it will launch the 'KakaoTalk Delinquent Tax Notification Service' this month to provide prompt notifications and convenient payment options for local tax and non-tax revenue arrears.
This service allows delinquency notices to be sent via KakaoTalk, enabling residents to check their outstanding balances more quickly and easily compared to traditional mail, and also allows for real-time payment of overdue amounts.
Furthermore, since personal authentication is required to view the notice, the risk of personal information leakage is minimized. The service also addresses the limitations of postal notifications by allowing delinquency information to be delivered to those with unknown addresses or residing overseas.
In addition, by reducing administrative costs associated with sending paper notices, the efficiency of the budget is expected to improve, and Ulju-gun residents will be provided with a faster and more convenient payment environment.
An Ulju-gun official stated, "We will continue to expand citizen-centered smart tax administration services, focusing on reducing taxpayer inconvenience and providing more efficient administrative services."
