The new headquarters of the Ulsan Seoulju Fire Station, which will be responsible for the safety of citizens in the Seoulju area including Eonyang-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, is opening.

The Ulsan Seoulju Fire Station announced that it will hold an opening ceremony at 3 p.m. on March 12 at the site of the new headquarters in Eonyang-eup, Ulju-gun.
Approximately 300 people will attend the ceremony, including Ulsan Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom, Ulju County Governor Lee Soongeol, acting Chairman of the Ulsan City Council Kim Jongseop, city council members, heads of related local agencies, representatives of local residents, firefighters, and volunteer firefighters.
The event will include a progress report, an award ceremony, a plaque unveiling, and a commemorative tree planting.
The new headquarters opening on this day is located on Namcheon Ddeok-gil in Eonyang-eup, Ulju-gun.
With a total project cost of 22.2 billion KRW, the building was constructed on a site of 8,862 square meters, with one basement floor and four above-ground floors, for a total floor area of 6,015 square meters. Construction was completed in December last year.
The establishment of the new headquarters is expected to better fulfill citizens' wishes for improved fire services and a safer, happier life.
Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom stated, "Building safety infrastructure is more important than anything to prepare for rapidly changing disasters," and added, "We will strive to always be a reliable guardian of safety by the citizens' side."
The Seoulju Fire Station was established in July 2021, separated from the Jungbu Fire Station, to provide universal fire services in response to increased fire demands due to the development of the western region. As a result, rapid disaster response is now possible throughout the western area.
