Human in Motion Robotics, a robotics subsidiary of Benoti&AR (CEO Jeong Jib-hoon), a KOSDAQ-listed company, announced on the 12th that its humanoid wearable robot 'XoMotion' will be featured as a cover story in the American tech magazine IEEE Spectrum. The cover article was pre-released online on the 2nd (local time).
Founded in 1964, IEEE Spectrum is a monthly science and technology magazine published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a globally recognized authority. It boasts over half a century of history and tradition, providing in-depth coverage of advanced technology and industry trends, and has established itself as an authoritative medium offering information to experts in various engineering and science fields, including electrical and electronic engineering.
On the 2nd (local time), IEEE Spectrum published an article titled "A Self-Balancing Exoskeleton Strides Toward Market," covering XoMotion's self-balancing technology. XoMotion is a next-generation wearable robot based on humanoid technology, precisely replicating the complex lower limb movements of the human body through multiple actuators and intelligent software. Notably, it is one of only two wearable robots worldwide equipped with self-balancing technology, helping users walk stably in a hands-free state.
Benoti&AR is collaborating with Human in Motion Robotics to promote the global sales of XoMotion. Their strategy is to develop and sell XoMotion in a two-track approach: 'XoMotion-R,' optimized for rehabilitation of lower limb paralysis patients, and 'XoMotion-P,' a personal model for everyday use. Currently, Human in Motion Robotics has obtained sales approval for XoMotion-R from Health Canada and plans to secure sales approvals from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety within the third quarter of this year. Additionally, product development is underway aiming to launch XoMotion-P sales by early 2027.
A representative from Human in Motion Robotics stated, "Following XoMotion's selection as one of the top 50 CES products by USA Today, its feature in IEEE Spectrum further confirms the international recognition of Human in Motion Robotics' technology. While focusing on the ongoing sales approval process for XoMotion-R, we plan to expand sales countries and introduce advanced wearable robots to various nations."
Meanwhile, Human in Motion Robotics has signed a sales contract for XoMotion-R with Synaptic Health, a rehabilitation specialty clinic in Canada, and is currently producing the product.
