Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) is set to fully launch the operation of the ‘Jongno Dullegil’ trail.

Opened in November last year, Jongno Dullegil is gaining attention as a trekking course connecting tourist attractions and waterfront environments. It consists of five courses: Inwangsan, Bukaksan, Naksan, Cheonggyecheon, and Gwanghwamun, with a total length of 15.8 km and an estimated completion time of 7 hours.

Operation of the Urban Attraction 'Jongno Dullegil' Fully Underway Jongno-gu opened the trekking course "Jongno Dullegil," which connects historical and cultural sites and natural environments throughout the district, in November last year. Provided by Jongno-gu.

Visitors can explore Korea’s representative historical and cultural heritage, experiencing both the past and present of Seoul. Passing through locations such as Marronnier Park, Cheonggyecheon, and traditional markets, it offers a time to heal and relax through art, making it very popular. As a result, it was selected as the number one ‘Top 10 Projects Chosen by Residents in Jongno’ last year.

Jongno-gu plans to organize the ‘Jongno Dullegil Supporters’ group in May this year. Participants will not only promote the trail but also assist weekend tourists, engage in plogging (picking up trash while walking), and help with inspections (monitoring). Jongno-gu will support these activities through provision of supplies and reimbursement of expenses.

Starting next month, completion certificates will be issued online. Visitors can also receive them by visiting the Urban Greenery Division in person, as before. The completion certificate is provided after collecting all stamps from the stamp boxes located along courses 1 to 5 of Jongno Dullegil or from the Urban Greenery Division after receiving a stamp book. Stamps can also be collected by downloading the JongnoPick application or accessing the QR code.

Additionally, Jongno-gu has established a photo zone commemorating completion inside the district office building. Related ordinances will be enacted in the future to provide a legal basis, and completion souvenirs will also be offered.

Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, “Jongno Dullegil has the unique advantage of allowing people to enjoy nature, culture, history, and leisure all in one day,” adding, “It will offer residents and domestic and international tourists a special experience unique to Jongno and an opportunity for healthy leisure activities.”
