Gyeonggi Province is stepping up to support logistics costs for export companies.
On the 12th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will provide support for logistics costs incurred during export transactions to reduce the burden on export logistics costs for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province and to secure product price competitiveness. Applications will be accepted from the 18th to the 25th.
Eligibility for application is manufacturing SMEs with headquarters or factories located in the province, whose direct export amount last year was $20 million or less.
The support amount covers 70% of logistics costs incurred in export transactions, including international freight, domestic and overseas warehouse fees, and inland transportation fees, up to a maximum of 3 million KRW per company.
Gyeonggi Province will provide support on a first-come, first-served basis four times this year, divided quarterly and by export declaration dates, for 136 export SMEs.
Applicants must prepare related documents such as business registration certificates and export performance certificates, along with the application form, and apply through the Gyeonggi Business Secretary website (www.egbiz.or.kr).
Park Kyung-seo, Director of the International Trade Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We hope that supporting logistics costs for export SMEs in the province will help secure product price competitiveness and significantly ease the burden on companies. Gyeonggi Province will continue to provide support to enhance the global competitiveness of SMEs in the province."
