Lawyer Han Jang-heon, who was appointed as the council's legal advisor on this day, is a graduate of the 44th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute. He has provided legal advisory services to organizations such as the Presidential Committee on Democratic Peaceful Unification and the Korea Creative Content Agency, and currently serves as the representative lawyer at Win & Partners Law Office.
The term of office is two years until March 2027, during which he will play a role in strengthening the council's legislative activities and enhancing expertise through legal advice on the city council's legislative policies and parliamentary activities.
Chairman Jo Seong-dae stated, "In the era of local decentralization, the role of local councils in realizing local autonomy is emphasized more than ever," and added, "I hope you will consider not only legal advice but also the legislative rights granted to the city council and proactive legislative activities. We will frequently communicate with the council to create a city where citizens can live well."
Meanwhile, the Namyangju City Council currently operates a legislative and legal advisory group composed of seven experts. They support parliamentary activities through professional advice on various legal matters such as the enactment and revision of autonomous regulations, interpretation of related laws including higher laws, and legislative policy consultation.
