This group training, aimed at enhancing the professionalism of institution heads and providing high-quality care services, was jointly promoted by the city and the Gyeonggi-do Long-term Care Workers Support Center. It was organized over two days until the 12th, targeting 380 participants from 337 institutions.
The training covered practical topics that could be immediately applied, including ▲financial accounting regulations ▲frequently cited cases during inspections ▲prevention education on fraudulent claims by long-term care institutions ▲guidance on the designation renewal system. The instructors included the head of the elderly care team, responsible officials, and staff from the Incheon-Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service.
Attendees evaluated the training as highly beneficial for their work. One institution head said, “The financial accounting regulations and fraudulent claims prevention education were especially useful,” adding, “I am very satisfied as I was able to obtain practical information necessary for institution management.” Another participant mentioned the effectiveness of the training, stating, “Learning about frequently cited cases during actual inspections will help us prepare in advance.”
Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “The leader’s capability determines the level of the institution, which directly affects service users,” and added, “I hope this training will be helpful in practice, and we plan to continuously provide education and consulting to improve the quality of long-term care services.”
Uijeongbu City designates and operates 337 long-term care institutions and conducts guidance and inspections on financial accounting, staff management, and facility operation status once a year over a total of nine months (April to December). In addition, in preparation for the first implementation of the ‘Renewal Designation System,’ which re-evaluates care institutions every six years according to the revision of the ‘Long-term Care Insurance Act for the Elderly’ (scheduled for December 11), the city is thoroughly preparing by providing prior self-inspection guidance and securing basic review data for 166 institutions subject to renewal.
