Premium In-Flight Dining for Upper Classes
To Be Introduced on Long-Haul Routes Starting the 12th
Tableware Upgraded to Premium and Eco-Friendly Options
Starting from the 12th, passengers in First and Business Class on Korean Air's long-haul routes will be able to enjoy trendy fine dining onboard. For the first time, 'kimchi,' which had not been offered in premium classes until now, will also be available.

On the 11th, ahead of the launch of its new corporate identity (CI), Korean Air introduced new in-flight meal menus. The new menu was developed in collaboration with Chef Kim Se-kyung, owner of the fine dining restaurant 'Cesta' in Hannam-dong, Seoul. Chef Kim stated, "The highlight is that passengers can enjoy high-end fine dining in the sky using fresh seasonal ingredients and various cooking methods."
For premium classes, amuse-bouches and appetizer menus have been upgraded to stimulate the palate. Amuse-bouches include crab lemon bites, shrimp pea mousse, and steamed abalone egg custard. The appetizer is scallop carpaccio.
While main courses had previously been limited to classic French dishes such as filet mignon steak, the new menu diversifies with Moroccan-style lamb and octopus nutritious rice. Desserts feature charming petit fours. Main dishes that incorporate traditional Korean cooking methods include octopus nutritious rice, chadolbagi bibimbap, abalone rice bowl, and sinseollo (Korean royal hot pot).
Among economy class in-flight meals, Korean dishes have expanded beyond the traditional vegetable and beef bibimbap to include salmon bibimbap and spicy stir-fried octopus with pork rice bowl. Tofu pad thai, spicy stir-fried eggplant, and ros? pasta are also introduced.

To enhance the enjoyment of in-flight meals, tableware has been renewed with premium lines. First Class uses world-renowned French luxury brand Bernardaud china, Christofle cutlery, and German Riedel wine glasses. Prestige Class is served with Armani Casa tableware and wine glasses.
For a comfortable journey, premium class bedding uses products from the Italian luxury bedding brand Frette. Especially in First Class, mattresses made with functional new materials and Frette loungewear are provided to offer an even more pleasant experience.
Premium class amenities and pouches are developed in collaboration with the British high-end brand GRAFF. The pouches will be offered in three colors?navy, green, and black?and will be changed every eight months. A Korean Air official said, "In line with our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management policy, we have minimized plastic packaging for amenity items and used eco-friendly materials for toothbrush handles, eye masks, and earplug cases."
Korean Air's new in-flight meals and renewed onboard services will first be available on 10 major long-haul routes including New York, Paris, and London. From June, the new services will be available on all long-haul routes, and from September, on all medium- and short-haul routes.
