At an apartment construction site in Gwangju, a safety screen tilted onto the sidewalk, injuring two pedestrians.
According to Gwangju Nam-gu officials on the 11th, at around 9:40 a.m. that day, a safety screen at an apartment construction site in Jinwol-dong collapsed toward the sidewalk.
As a result of the accident, two people, including a woman in her 70s identified as Ms. A, suffered injuries to their legs and waist and were transported to the hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
It has been tentatively determined that the accident occurred when an excavator, while connecting its shovel during work, dropped it, causing it to roll and fall.
The police are investigating the excavator operator to determine whether there was any negligence and to clarify the exact cause of the accident.
