Jangheung County Invites Proposals for 2026 Resident Participatory Budget Projects

A 2 Billion KRW Program
for Resident Welfare and Regional Development

Jangheung County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Sung) announced on the 11th that it will be accepting proposals for the 2026 Resident Participatory Budget Program until June 13.


The total scale of the program is 2 billion KRW, targeting general projects that promote residents' welfare and regional development, as well as public safety projects for disaster and accident prevention and ensuring residents' safety.

Large-scale investment projects, support projects for specific organizations or individuals, local subsidy projects, and one-time festivals or event-type projects are excluded from consideration. Anyone who resides in or has a living sphere in Jangheung County may apply, and the required documents for project proposals can be found in the public notice section of the county office website.


Applicants can fill out the application form and submit it online through the Resident Participatory Budget System bulletin board under the Budget and Settlement Information menu on the website, or visit the county office Planning and Public Relations Office or their local administrative welfare center to submit in person.


The county plans to review the proposed projects through relevant departments and the Resident Participatory Budget Committee, and reflect them in the 2026 budget proposal.


Governor Kim Sung stated, "We will realize policies that residents can tangibly feel by reflecting projects directly proposed by the citizens in next year's budget formulation process."
