Uljin County Launches "Our Department is Here~ Let's Greet First" Campaign

As Part of Organizational Culture Innovation
Enhanced Communication and Collaboration Between Departments

Uljin County in North Gyeongsang Province will implement the "Our Department is Here, Let's Greet First Day" campaign starting in March, to establish a culture of greeting first within the public office and to promote communication and collaboration among employees. This event will take place at 9 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.

The "Our Department is Here, Let's Greet First Day" campaign is part of Uljin County's organizational culture innovation initiative, designed to strengthen communication and encourage collaboration between departments.

Twice a month, county office staff will visit different departments to exchange morning greetings and conduct a campaign to practice and promote greeting first.

For its first event, on March 11, the Policy Promotion Office visited all departments, greeted employees from other departments in the morning, explained the purpose of the Let's Greet First Day, and encouraged active participation and promotion among staff.

Additionally, in line with the 2025 "Greet First" comprehensive implementation plan, Uljin County has set goals to establish a culture of mutual respect among employees, achieve tangible changes that residents can feel, and attract 10 million tourists to Uljin. The county is actively promoting various campaigns related to greeting first.

Starting in March, Uljin County is carrying out initiatives such as the "Our Department is Here, Let's Greet First Day," the "Greet First Practice Campaign," "Greet First Employee Participation Broadcast," "Best Greeter Selection," and the selection of "Best Greeter in Public Transportation Services and Best Hospitality Businesses." The county will continue its efforts to foster a bright and positive image through the widespread adoption of the "Greet First" movement.

County Governor Son Byeongbok stated, "Through the 'Our Department is Here, Let's Greet First Day' campaign, we expect employees to better understand the work environment of other departments and to strengthen interdepartmental communication. We will do our utmost to create a public office culture where everyone greets first, anytime, anywhere, and with anyone, and to make Uljin County a place where all residents practice greeting first."
