Experience Local Work Environment in Japan for 5 Days
All Employees Eligible to Apply, Workspaces and Accommodation Provided
On the 11th, Daesang Group announced that it has introduced a Korea-Japan linked 'Global Workation (remote work from vacation spots)' program. This program allows Daesang Group employees working in Korea to experience the local work environment in Japan for a certain period.
Prior to this, on the 7th, Daesang Group signed an official business agreement (MOU) with Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, to operate the Global Workation program. The two parties agreed to collaborate on jointly creating regional public value through the global workation, expanding mutual regional and corporate exchanges between Korea and Japan, and addressing shared challenges. The signing ceremony was attended by Dae-young Choi, Head of Corporate Culture Team at Daesang Holdings, and Satoshi Nishimura, Mayor of Hyuga City, Japan.
The Global Workation program is open to all employees of Daesang Group affiliates. Selected employees are provided with dedicated workspaces and accommodations. From the 4th to the 8th, five employees from Daesang Holdings, Daesang, Daesang Wellife, and Daesang Dives, all Daesang Group affiliates, visited Hyuga City, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, to directly experience the first Global Workation program. Participants worked remotely from dedicated workspaces while experiencing the local work culture.
Dae-young Choi, Head of Corporate Culture Team at Daesang Holdings, said, "This Global Workation is expected to enhance the work satisfaction and creativity of our group members. Through this program, we aim not only to expand work exchanges between Korea and Japan but also to diversify overseas base programs and establish a global network as a starting point."
Meanwhile, since 2023, Daesang Group has been operating a domestic 'Workstay' system starting with Daesang Holdings and Daesang Wellife in Jeju and Busan. Building on this, this year the group plans to expand the program globally, providing various opportunities for employees to combine work and rest in new environments, thereby enhancing creativity and productivity.
