Gyeongsan City in North Gyeongsang Province participated in the 'Life Sharing Blood Donation of Love' campaign on the 11th, with both public officials and citizens joining together to promote stable blood supply and spread the culture of life sharing.
Blood cannot be artificially produced or substituted, making it the only means to save the lives of patients who need transfusions.
Additionally, blood cannot be preserved for long periods, so continuous blood donations and ongoing interest are necessary.
Blood donors can check their health status through blood tests (including blood type, hepatitis B and C tests, liver function tests, and six other types), and after donating, they receive a blood donation certificate, a commemorative gift, and are recognized for four hours of volunteer service.
An Byungsook, Director of the Public Health Center, said, "I would like to thank the staff and citizens who voluntarily participated in the blood donation campaign even in these challenging times for blood supply," adding, "Blood donation is a valuable act that saves precious lives, and I hope for continued interest and participation in sharing life through blood donation in the future."
