Establishing Channels for Collecting User Feedback on Inconveniences
Yeosu City, South Jeolla Province (Mayor Jung Kimyung), has significantly reorganized its marina facility management to be user-centered, rolling up its sleeves to resolve inconveniences for marina users.
The city announced on the 11th that, based on the results of the recent Yacht Marina Facility Management Operations Committee's review and evaluation, it has decided to extend the consignment agreement with the existing management company for another three years.
In particular, the city plans to use this opportunity to establish user-centered operation and management measures for the marina, aiming to resolve existing inconveniences.
Previously, since November last year, the city has conducted a 'performance evaluation of the management company (February 7)' and an 'extension evaluation (February 28)' in accordance with relevant ordinances.
During this process, the city held a total of three meetings: two with the Marina Re-consignment Emergency Committee and one with the city council, as well as one meeting with those advocating for the re-operation by the existing management company.
At the meetings, the Marina Re-consignment Emergency Committee requested participation in the Yacht Marina Facility Management Operations Committee, fair evaluations, and improvements regarding unkind marina operations.
In response, the city decided to hold meetings attended by the city, the management company, and user representatives in the future, and to strengthen guidance and supervision of the management company.
A city official stated, "We will resolve inconveniences related to the use of marina facilities and contribute to revitalizing the marina," adding, "We will do our best so that Yeosu can truly become a leading marine leisure tourism city."
