The Yangsan City Citizens' Integration Committee in Gyeongnam has been holding meals to promote camaraderie among committee members, using its own membership fees after meetings of its five subcommittees since last February as part of efforts to revitalize the local economy.

This is to actively participate in revitalizing the local economy in line with Yangsan City's administrative direction.

In particular, for its second term, the committee has emphasized its role as a 'voluntary committee,' not only holding monthly subcommittee meetings but also actively organizing various small group gatherings.

Through these activities, members are able to share their opinions more freely, and by intentionally extending meal or tea times, they are strengthening mutual exchange and cooperation. In addition, the committee plans to practice sharing activities for community development by collectively raising sponsorship funds.

As the second-term Citizens' Integration Committee enters its fourth month, its activities are becoming even more vibrant. So far, the committee has held a total of 19 meetings and has been committed to policy research, including workshops that also served as benchmarking opportunities.

In particular, in connection with Yangsan City's key initiative, the 'Year of Visiting Yangsan,' the committee has proposed 16 policy ideas that can be practically helpful from the citizens' perspective, and has been considering ways to attract tourists to Yangsan and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.

Additionally, through various small group activities, such as field activities at Hwangsan Park and Park Jesang Hyochung Park, the committee is directly experiencing local issues and seeking solutions.

Park Wonhyun, chairperson of the Citizens' Integration Committee, said, "We will strive to ensure that committee activities do not end as simple meetings but lead to more effective policy proposals and implementation by strengthening the bonds among members," adding, "We will continue to seek various ways to contribute to the local economy."

A city official stated, "With the goal of running the city administration together with citizens, we will actively support the voluntary and proactive activities of the Citizens' Integration Committee and continue to seek various cooperation plans for regional development."
