The Constitutional Court will deliver its ruling on the impeachment trial of Choi Jae-hae, Chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, Lee Chang-soo, Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, and two other prosecutors at 10 a.m. on the 13th.
On the 11th, the Constitutional Court announced that it will deliver its ruling at 10 a.m. on the 13th on the impeachment trial of Chairman Choi, including Prosecutor Lee, Jo Sang-won, the 4th Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Central District Prosecutors' Office, and Choi Jae-hoon, Head of the Anti-Corruption Division 2 of the Central District Prosecutors' Office.
The impeachment cases against them were simultaneously filed with the Constitutional Court on December 5 of last year. The National Assembly passed the impeachment motion against the three prosecutors on the grounds that they failed to properly investigate the Deutsche Motors case and released false information to the media.
Additionally, the National Assembly referred Chairman Choi to the impeachment trial, citing reasons including inadequate audits of President Yoon's office and residence relocation, as well as conducting a targeted audit against former Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Chairperson Jeon Hyun-hee.
Earlier, the Constitutional Court concluded the hearings for the impeachment cases of the three prosecutors on the 24th of last month, and for Chairman Choi on the 12th of last month.
