This evaluation is conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to understand the overall operation status of data-driven administration and public data provision in administrative and public institutions and to utilize the results for policy improvement. A total of 679 institutions, including central administrative agencies and local governments, are evaluated.

The "Data-Driven Administration Evaluation" assesses how much each institution invests in data-based capabilities and efforts to promote scientific and objective administration, examining three areas: data analysis and utilization, data sharing, and data-driven administration management systems. Seocho-gu scored above average in all three areas, with the highest scores in all items in the data sharing and management system categories.

Most notably, the "Data-Driven Seoripul Wondumak (Shade Shelter) Operation," submitted as an excellent case, was highly praised for selecting the optimal location by analyzing the current installation status, installation environment, and nearby floating population data when installing new Seoripul Wondumak shelters. The planning, techniques, and data utilization were appropriately structured overall, and the analysis results were evaluated as well-suited for policy application purposes.

In the "Public Data Provision Operation Evaluation," the assessment focused on whether administrative and public institutions discover and open demand-centered public data and support its use in the private sector. Seocho-gu also received above-average scores in all three areas?opening and utilization, quality, and management system?and 11 detailed indicators, recognizing its excellence. Among the 25 autonomous districts in Seoul, only eight, including Seocho-gu, received the "Excellent" grade in this evaluation.

Meanwhile, the district is making efforts across all administrative fields to promote data-driven administrative tasks and open public data. By establishing the "Seocho Big Data Platform," it provides over 480 types of administrative information across 11 fields, supporting public officials to carry out scientific and objective administration based on data.

Through this platform, residents can access useful public data necessary for daily life, ranging from real-time disaster safety, traffic, and air quality situations to population, health, and welfare information.

Mayor Jeon Seong-su said, "We are pleased that our district's smart data utilization-based administration has been highly recognized through this evaluation," adding, "We will continue to strive to promote trusted administration through data analysis and to continuously discover and open high-quality, high-demand data that meets residents' needs."
