Busan City and Busan Bank Unite for Young Childcare Business Brand

Creating Play Experience Spaces for Infants and Young Children,
Collaboration on Cultural Events
Discovering Cooperative Projects for Childbirth Support
→ Overcoming Low Birth Rates

The city of Busan and BNK Busan Bank have joined forces for a project aimed at creating a nurturing environment for infants and young children. Their plan is to connect their respective brands to generate synergy.

On the morning of the 11th at 11 a.m., Busan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced that it will sign a business agreement with BNK Busan Bank regarding the "Dangsicheoreom Aejijungji-Dugeundugeun I Love Project" at the International Protocol Room of City Hall.

This agreement is being promoted as part of Busan's representative childbirth and childcare policy, "Dangsicheoreom Aejijungji." It includes various collaborative projects such as creating play experience spaces for infants and young children, and hosting participatory cultural events for infants, young children, and pregnant women.

Mayor Park Hyungjoon of Busan and Bang Seongbin, President of BNK Busan Bank, will attend the signing ceremony.

Through this agreement, Busan City will link its childbirth and childcare policy brand, "Dangsicheoreom Aejijungji," with BNK Financial Group's social contribution brand, "Dugeundugeun," to promote support projects related to nurturing infants and young children.

"Dangsicheoreom Aejijungji" is a city policy under the theme "Our children growing up in Busan, Busan raises them with care together," in which the city, districts, the education office, universities, and other local resources collaborate to take public responsibility for care and education.

"Dugeundugeun" is BNK Financial Group's brand for social contribution, aiming to support various fields such as volunteer activities, social welfare, culture and arts, and educational scholarships.

The main content of the agreement is to cooperate on the "Dangsicheoreom Aejijungji-Dugeundugeun I Love Project" with the goal of making Busan a great place to have and raise children.

Key initiatives include: ▲ Establishing the so-called Dangsicheoreom Aejijungji-Dugeundugeun I Love Zone, a play experience space for infants and young children ▲ Promoting collaborative projects such as participatory cultural events for infants, young children, and pregnant women ▲ Discovering new support projects to encourage childbirth.

The creation of the Dangsicheoreom Aejijungji-Dugeundugeun I Love Zone involves remodeling the Pororo Library in Busan Citizens Park to transform it into a Busan-style kids cafe. For children under the age of seven, physical development play content and parent-child experience programs will be offered. This will address the current lack of indoor spaces for infants and young children in Busan Citizens Park, providing a place for families to relax. In addition, music experience programs linked to the Busan Concert Hall, which opens this June, and the "Let's Play with English" program will also be offered.

Furthermore, the project plans to support the participation of families with infants, young children, and pregnant women in cultural events through invited performances, infant sports classes, art competitions, and book exchange events, while also discovering new support projects to encourage childbirth.

Mayor Park Hyungjoon stated, "This project is about creating a nurturing-friendly environment that provides play experiences and cultural opportunities for children, while easing the burden of childcare for parents and guardians. It will become a representative play space symbolizing Busan as a great place to have and raise children."

Mayor Park added, "Low birth rates are a critical issue that requires the combined efforts of the entire community, and we will continue to expand new support measures."
