Applications Accepted Until the 21st
The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education has announced an open call for Village Schools and Seed Clubs, which are part of the village education community, in order to foster an educational ecosystem where villages and schools collaborate.
Organizations or clubs wishing to participate can apply via the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education website or by mail until the 21st. The selection results are scheduled to be announced in April.
Village Schools are divided into two areas: care and after-school activities. Five organizations will be selected and supported. Non-profit organizations, corporations, and cooperatives that have secured separate educational spaces and operate village education communities centered in the Daejeon area are eligible to apply.
Seed Clubs will select a total of 15 teams across five areas: village research groups, village exploration and experience, after-school activities, village ecological environment, and social economy activities. Each club will receive 1 million KRW in support. Eligible clubs must consist of at least seven members, including students, parents, school staff, or village activists.
Lee Mihye, Director of the Innovation Policy Division at the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "Village education communities promote the holistic growth of students through vibrant learning both inside and outside of school," and encouraged active participation in the open call.
