Up to 2 Million KRW Support Per Establishment
45 Businesses to Be Selected
Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 11th that it will be accepting applications for the "Restaurant Sanitation Environment Improvement Support Project," which supports the improvement of sanitary conditions in local general restaurants, snack bars, and bakeries, until the 28th.
This project aims to create a clean and safe dining environment and increase user satisfaction by improving the sanitary conditions of restaurant kitchens and related facilities.
Eligible establishments are general restaurants, snack bars, and bakeries that have been operating in Ulju-gun for more than one year. Priority will be given to establishments that wish to obtain a hygiene rating, have held business licenses for a long period, have low annual sales, have small premises, or actively participate in food culture improvement initiatives.
However, establishments that have received administrative dispositions of business suspension or higher within the past year, those with frequent civil complaints, those that have received similar support within the past two years, establishments with local tax arrears, general restaurants operating as bars, business owners who apply using false or fraudulent methods, and those that registered their business after December 31, 2023, will be excluded from support.
Ulju-gun will select a total of 45 establishments and provide up to 2 million KRW in support for replacing unsanitary walls, floors, hood facilities, kitchen equipment, and more within kitchens. To receive support, establishments must contract with a professional company based in Ulsan.
Simple facility replacements or additional installations are not eligible for support, and any costs exceeding the support amount and VAT must be borne by the establishment.
Establishments wishing to apply can download the application form and related documents from the Ulju-gun Office website, fill them out, and submit them in person or by mail to the Ulju-gun Office Resource Sanitation Division within the application period.
An Ulju-gun official stated, "Through this support project, we will strive to raise the hygiene standards of local restaurants so that Ulju-gun residents and tourists can enjoy a safer and cleaner dining environment," and added, "We hope for the interest and applications of many establishments."
