Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 11th that among the 15 Dahamkke Care Centers currently in operation, eight have been selected for the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s ‘2025 Dahamkke Care Center Operating Hours Extension Project’ and will extend their operating hours by two hours in the morning and evening beyond the standard operating hours (1 PM to 8 PM).

Accordingly, children in need of care will be able to receive care services from 7 AM to 9 AM and from 8 PM to 10 PM. During these hours, care services such as attendance management and snack support will mainly be provided, and detailed programs and usage fees vary depending on each center’s circumstances.

Paju City notified the Gyeonggi-do Paju Office of Education and 60 elementary schools by official letter that the operating hours of the Dahamkke Care Centers have been extended so that children in need of care within the city can use the services.

The Dahamkke Care Centers with extended operating hours are ▲ Gyoha Noeulbit Village Dahamkke Care Center ▲ Gyoha Chaekhyanggi Village 13 Complex Dahamkke Care Center ▲ Unjeong 2-dong Hillstate Dahamkke Care Center ▲ Sannae Village 3 Complex Dahamkke Care Center ▲ Haesol Village 5 Complex Dahamkke Care Center ▲ Chorongkkot Village 11 Complex Dahamkke Care Center ▲ Munsan Seonyu 3 Complex Dahamkke Care Center ▲ Tanhyeon-myeon Dahamkke Care Center.

Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City said, “As the population in the new town steadily increases, citizens’ demands for expanded care services are also rising proportionally. We expect that this extension of operating hours will help fill the care gaps before and after work for dual-income families, and we will do our best to establish a foundation so that all Paju citizens can enjoy basic care.”
