Ulju County Selects Outstanding Apartment Complexes for Reducing Food Waste

Four Apartment Complexes, Including Daewon Green Park in Samnam-eup, Recognized for Excellence

Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 11th that it has selected four apartment complexes with outstanding performance in reducing food waste and will provide them with incentives.

Previously, Ulju-gun conducted a survey on food waste emissions from January to October last year targeting apartment complexes with more than 100 households in the region, and compared the reduction rates to the same period of the previous year.

The apartment complex with the highest reduction rate was Daewon Green Park (Samnam-eup), which was awarded the grand prize. Next, Moorim P&P Employee Apartment (Onsan-eup) was selected for excellence. Cheonsang Guktae Green Ville (Beomseo-eup) and Daejin Greenpia Apartment (Samnam-eup) were both selected for encouragement awards.

Ulju-gun plans to provide a total of 4 million KRW worth of standard volume-based waste bags or food waste disposal payment certificates to the four outstanding apartment complexes in accordance with the "Ulsan-si Ulju-gun Ordinance on the Reduction, Collection, Transportation, and Recycling of Food Waste."

An official from the county said, "We thank the residents for participating in reducing food waste," and added, "We select outstanding apartment complexes for food waste reduction every year, so we ask for your continued interest and participation."

Ulsan Ulju-gun selected four apartment complexes with excellent food waste reduction performance. On the 11th, Kim Mihye, Director of the Welfare and Environment Bureau, along with related officials, visited Daewon Green Park in Samnam-eup, which was chosen as the best apartment complex, to deliver incentive items.
